Flip-Up Panels
Truck Access Solution
When planning a truck loading project, it is important to think about what your operators are going to be doing once that trailer is in place. Will there be multiple sizes or types of trailers being accessed at one spot? Which direction do the manway covers open? Does it change based on the trailer or product being moved? What is your working at heights policy regarding heights above 6 feet?
Many of our customers find that the best solution to answer all of these questions is an elevating cage system with flip up panels. Using an elevating cage, the system can be lowered into place to meet any truck height and the flip up panels then allow a fully enclosed walk surface without the operator ever having to step onto the trailer.
Once the trailer is in place, the operator simply lifts the panels up to access the hatch or hatches that need to be opened. When finished, the panels lower back into place to once again provide a secure walk surface to perform any additional tasks needed. The flip-up panels are hinged for ease of use and durable enough for the harshest work conditions, keeping your workers safer as they go about their jobs.
